I didn't choose this path. It chose me. And it's been with me since I was a little boy.

In a humble, Cambridge MA living room, visiting the healer known as "Karmu," something happened that dramatically shifted my understanding of reality. I saw light pouring through the room and into my body. Something in me woke up, and I never returned to the life I was living at that time. Everything changed.

What followed was more than 30 years of immersion. I lived in ashrams. I sat at the feet of Amma and Mother Meera. I immersed myself in Advaita Vedanta and the path of self-inquiry. I studied with teachers across myriad traditions and learned from indigenous elders on the land. What began as a search eventually became the foundation of everything I teach today.

Along the way I became things I never expected to become: a writer, a comedian, an ordained minister, a creator of sacred tools, a clairvoyant who has now given more than 10,000 readings, and a teacher of non-duality who helps people remember what they already are.

But the most important work wasn't public.

It was the years of facing my own conditioning and trauma. Releasing grief that lived beneath words. Meeting my shadow - and losing identities I thought were permanent. Across 5 years of sobbing convulsively every day, I cleared space deep within me, and something quieter and truer emerged.

I tell you this not to impress you. I tell you because when I sit with you, I do not sit above you. I sit with the understanding that real transformation asks something of all of us - and I have walked that road myself. I know that if you also do the work of releasing and welcoming new awareness and space within you - and taking action on them - your life will change in ways you've never imagined.
